I've only lightly surfaced it to show the grain, it will need more planing to get it flat. I've also got 2 quarter sawn pieces of Mahogany suitable for neck blanks measuring... 36" x 3" x 33mm 29" x 3" x 30mm £45 + £10 postage, for the all 3 pieces.
