icetrey Posted June 29, 2006 Report Posted June 29, 2006 My friend has a Galveston bass and it has a bad connection no matter what cord is used. What should I look for on the guitar to see what might be causing it? All the soldering that is done on it is good. Quote
1576 Posted June 29, 2006 Report Posted June 29, 2006 First port of call is the jack socket. After that, try each electronic component in turn - i.e. each position of any switches, turning vol or tone pots, etc. Could be that one of the legs on the Jack is shorting on coductive paint or something.
