ToneMonkey
I'll be in Normandy in a few weeks, I'll keep my eye open for you. Been looking for something along the lines of a ES-335 myself, cash flow has all flowed out unfortunately . Still, it doesn't stop me looking in every guitar shop I pass. ToneMonkey
But mostly, it's to stop me from spending countless hours staring at guitars for sale over the 'net I doubt that somehow

hans-jürgen
And then there's the new Hofner Club coming out soon --looks like it's a hollowbody, but without the holes? Nope, the new Clubs are semi-acoustic with a sustain block, see the description on the Thomann site: http://www.thomann.de/de/hoefner_hct_club_sb_contempoary.htm But the originals were all hollowbodies, also the 12x models which was the German and international version while "Club" was the Selmer import name for the UK. Since you already have a Hofner, you probably know this and also the fact that they built many slim versions of full sized archtops with four digit model numbers which were hollowbodies, too. For example here's a nice old President Thinline on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...649#description Some more info on these sites: http://web.telia.com/~u51210824/ (about Hofner Club models) http://www.provide.net/~cfh/hofner.html (great article about archtops) http://www.hofner.com/ (see also their Vintage Showroom) http://www.vintagehofner.co.uk/ (one of the best sites about vintage Hofners with many pictures, also Buy & Sell) http://ccgi.harrisonwass.plus.com/sms/ (HofnerHounds forum) Edited August 13, 2006 by hans-jürgen
