I put "new" in quotation marks because this is old news to many people on this forum; however, it's the kind of information that could use repeating every now and then, and I like the frankness with which he approaches the "problem" of dissonant chords.

And, there is also the compensated nut systems out there to fix the problem. I'll have to try the tuning method mentioned on the Ryan page.

Nut compensation and tuning properly address two different issues; tuning this way helps deal with the out-of-tunedness that's inherent to guitars, compensated or not.
