johnsilver
I thought I read this a while back but can't find a thread. Anyone have any techniques to remove surface scratches or otherwise clean up the top of a black humbucker?
Sambo
I've done it before by screwing down the polepieces a bit and using a buffing compound and then some T-Cut S

Anyone have any techniques to remove surface scratches or otherwise clean up the top of a black humbucker? Hi, I've used Menzerna and 3M polishing compounds - one for a little rough cut and one for fine cut. Then use some scratch and swirl remover. This also cleans up the pole piece tops! Peace, Dave
