Question About P/U Wire Colors

i was looking at this http://www.guitarelectronics.com/diagrams/...iversal/h2.html becuase i want to add a tone knob to my guitar, right now its one humbucker and one volume knob i want to add a tone knob, i can't quite grasb the concept of this diaogram, what colors are the south and north finish/start wires

(my god i posted alot in one day and learned alot lol)

Cross-reference what colors match what 'direction' (north-south, et al) on your specific pickup.
