G_urr_A Posted September 29, 2003 Report Posted September 29, 2003 Ok, I've got an original Floyd that's going to sit in the guitar I'm building, and I've got a nice little line for where the saddles should be, and I've got a line for the edge of the trem, and a line for the edge of the cavity. Now, how do I find a line on which to drill the holes for the trem posts (both width- and lengthwise)? Quote
daveq Posted September 29, 2003 Report Posted September 29, 2003 Usually, you place the posts 1/2" closer to the neck than the scale length of the guitar (if I'm remembering correctly). I can get the other dimensions for you later but I'm sure someone else will reply before then. Did the trem route guide (here at project guitar) help with this? Quote
daveq Posted September 30, 2003 Report Posted September 30, 2003 I measured 2 15/16 for the post width which matches with the trem route topic pinned in the topic list. Quote
G_urr_A Posted October 1, 2003 Author Report Posted October 1, 2003 Ok, thanks a lot! And sorry for being both inactive and a bit lazy (not responding and not checking the trem thread). But thanks a lot! Quote
