csbett2001
Hi All, While excavating stuff from deep storage the other day I came across an effect unit that I haven't used...or frankly even thought about...for years. It's called a Sync-A-Wah, and it was made by Morley. I believe I bought it from Musician's Friend sometime in the late 80's, but wouldn't stake my life on that. Anyway, I can't find any information on it at all, and would be interested in background info, info on when and how many were produced, and especially current value (if any). It's a pretty nifty little device: a belt-mounted box about 4 inches square, with a metallic pick attached to the effect by a fine wire. Basically the pick contacting the strings completes a circuit and actuates the filter. Not as flexible as a wah pedal, but then again it didn't cost nearly as much either. Thanks in advance for any tidbits of knowledge that come out of this. Happy playing! Chris
Sambo
if you look at this page: http://www.morleypedals.com/downloads2.html Theres a couple of old manuals for things that look kind of similar... like a wah pedal with a pick attached? Any use? S
csbett2001
Thanks. I did find this site the other day. It seems to have the schematic for the Sync-A-Wah (thought they calll it the "Pik Wah Box" or something like that) but nothing beyond that. The other Pik-A-Wah they mention is, if I'm not misaken, an actual wah pedal with the pick controller, whereas what I have isn't a pedal...just a box that clips onto your belt/guitar strap/whatever. Thanks for the tip, though!
