rob_tart
Hiya folks - i am in the middle of finishing building my custom geetar with the EMG81/85 combination What i am looking for is a simple way of attaching/securing the battery to the guitar body in the cavity, so that it does rattle around (without using velcro !)etc. i was looking at this http://www.stewmac.com/shop/Electronics,_p...nting_Clip.html , but as im in the UK, a 50p item will cost me £12 to get here! (not a chance!) and as such i was wondering if there was anyone in the UK who know where i could source one of these - the closest i have got so far is http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?Module...ery&doy=6m1 but i wanted it in metal as the plastic might deteriorate over time... Any ideas oh oracles of the project guitar forum? Edited January 6, 2007 by rob_tart
GregP
Metal is more likely to deteriorate over time than plastic! Plastic is more likely to accidentally break, though. If you're a creative type, there are plenty of ways you could make one on your own, using nothing more than a dead 9V battery (pry it open and steal the top connector thingies) and some ingenuity.
