orgmorg
Recently ended up with a Yamaha fretless bass. As with my last project, It had a really nice neck and an awful looking body. Actually, that's about all there was left of this one. That, and the tuners. I'd been wanting a fretless again for a while, so I whipped up this body for it out of a nice piece of yellow poplar. Rummaged thru my parts bin, and dug up an old Stars Guitars bridge, and a Duncan QP p-bass pickup. The pickguard is from a piece of decorative laminate (like formica) left over from my cabinet shop days.

orgmorg
Well, dirty strings would be typical for me, but no, these are Fender black tapewound, and only a few years old, at that! They're like black socks- they never get dirty.
