Hey, I'm new here but have been lurking for a long time now. Excellent site, lots of great useful information. From lurking I know about the search feature and the picture rules and my first and only post won't be asking for templates.

My son and I are in the midst of building a spruce bodied tele (I read all the pine discussions) and a beech bodied strat. I figure I would use as much locally available stuff before we branch out into the exotic stuff. The spruce we used for the telecaster was at one time actually bench seats in an old arena where I saw my very first concert, Ted Nugent...a little historical wood is kind of cool. Anyways glad to be here.

First concert with Ted Nugent huh? Sweet. Better be careful when you route out that spruce. No telling what kind of chemicals you might release.
