saz___69 Posted February 9, 2007 Report Share Posted February 9, 2007 I posted a while back a bunch of questions about people's opinions on different amps but i couldn't reap the information because my internet stopped working thanks to AOL. Anyway i was loking to get a decent tube sound on the cheap and i came across this Leak TL12 Plus mono power amp. Its an old 60's hifi amp and since its a mono could i just use it with a preamp and a cab. Also the website http://home.mira.net/~kiewavly/TL12.html says it has an output of 12 watts. is this going to be too quiet? can i beef it up? Since i'm getting this dirt cheap any mods are viable. Cos its made for hifi its got 0.1% distortion which is obviously not great. Will my preamp take care of the distortion? If not what can i do.
