carousel182 Posted July 13, 2007 Report Share Posted July 13, 2007 okay this project is the result of a failure of another project that was doomed from the start. i could probably use that project and finish it but i am not happy enough with the results. my new project is going to be a carved top neck through strat style guitar. the neck is going to be a five piece maple mahogany maple mahogany maple neck. the top is a beautiful book matched curly maple top that i cut up a while ago. there is a picture of the top. i got this top off of a very long board, i thought this was the gonna be the ugliest piece on the board so i cut it up first because i didnt wanna mess up the rest of it quite yet. it turned out amazing so i cant wait to see what the rest of the board looks like. http://s144.photobucket.com/albums/r191/st...nt=IMG_2440.jpg thats the neck drying. http://s144.photobucket.com/albums/r191/st...nt=IMG_2441.jpg here a picture where you can actually see the neck. cant wait to get started on this thing tommorow, i already have all the hardware Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
