avengers63 Posted January 8, 2008 Report Share Posted January 8, 2008 That cutaway looks a little hard to play in. Have you done some fingering in there to give it a test run? I LOVE the headstock. Are those banjoor classical guitar tuners? I've considered using straight-through banjo tuners on a future project, but the turning ratio is just lousy. PTModIT Posted January 8, 2008 Author Report Share Posted January 8, 2008 That cut out is just a rough cut . My son did a test and I needed to remove about a 1/4 ". Yes they banjo tuners with a 4:1 turning ratio. I haven't strung it up yet but they should work fine.If not I'll buy some Steinbergers. Another is making one from metal then have it gold plated with a rosewood insert. It needs something large in that area. A tunomatic tailstop won't do.
