Six String Samurai
I recently set about refinishing an Epiphone Special SG that had I had bought a couple of years ago for $25. I am currently upgrading the pick-ups along with putting in all new electronics and hardware. I have just finished repainting it red, with a metallic black/gunmetal Dodge Viper-inspired racing stripe traversing the guitar's body, and a metallic black neck and headstock with the front face of the headstock painted red with a metallic black hotrod flame accent. The thing looks like a beast. All in all, I've spent about a month and a half and $250 on this. This is the first project I have ever attempted and I just wanted to thank the people who run this website as well as all of the people who share their knowledge on the forums for putting together such a wealth of information in one place. This site has been a huge help and I'm glad I stumbled across it. Now that I've almost finished with the SG, I'm already starting to scour Craigslist, eBay, and the local pawn shops for the next victim. I look forward to chatting with you all on here and will post up pictures once it's completely done. Quote Link to comment
