Corrosion Of Metal Parts - Help

Hello,

I have a hofner 500/1 bass, and in the past 2 years there is progressive corrosion of its metal parts. Screws got rusted, pickups and tail became green. Replaced the screws and polished the pickups and tail, but now it's coming back. Any suggestions? Some kind of coating maybe?

replace the screws with stainless steel ones - but other than that its down to your personal biology and how you store the guitar so pay attention to maintenance and cleaning such as wiping the guitar down when you are done with it

You could try to wipe the metal with a little oil. Don't know how much of a difference it makes, but it's worth a shot.
