Turgon
I've to make a template in 1:1 for my guitar project from Cad Drawing that I've found on web. But there's a really small problem. I don't have printer which gives me opportunity to print on such a big pieces of paper. Can you give me any advice or solution for my problem? P.S. I can't do it by hand - I wanna have really precise template. P.S. Sorry for my bad english, but I'm from Poland and I don't speak your language every time. aidlook
Can you export a drawing to *.pdf or something?
fryovanni
You can go to a print house and have it printed. If you plot it as a full size PDF they usually an print for about .25 cents per. square ft.(36" x 48"= 12 sq. ft.). Extra copies of the original will usually cost about half that per. sq. ft. Well worth plotting full size over messing with taping a bunch of sheets and hoping you get the job done spot on. Rich
bluesy
Can you export a drawing to *.pdf or something? I tried to print a pdf file to multiple pages just a week ago, and Acrobat reader (8 I think) won't split it into multiple pages. The non-free version of their software for creating pdf's will though ( a friend who has it, printed my drawing for me) - though it's not an option for most of us. So, I guess it's worth exploring what software/formats will do it (and print to scale). If I get some time this week I might see what I can find, because I will want to print out a fender neck template myself soon. As an aside, are there any good drawings of a tele (os strat) neck downloadable? I have one of the tele body, but not the neck.
Turgon
fryovanni, I think that if I don't print it succesfully at home I'll go to print house, because in Poland it isn't cheap way of printing. bluesy, there are two good drawings. First, http://www.guitarbuild.com/modules/mydownl...ewcat.php?cid=5 . Second, http://www.tdpri.com/forum/telecaster-disc...l?highlight=dxf . And after you've printed it, make a tutorial about it

And after you've printed it, make a tutorial about it I found a nice shareware program called ABviewer that is very good at handling CAD drawings and printing to multiple pages. It's homepage is http://www.cadsofttools.com/ Here's a pic of the printing dialog. All you do, after select printer and page size and orientation, is select 1:1 as the scale, and it shows you how it is going to print it over multiple pages (I am using A3 pages). When I printed this dxf drawing on our laserjet, it was very accurately sized.
