BobK42
This is my first post on this forum and hopefully someone can lead me in the right direction. I have an Epiphone Riviera with a turquoise finish that I'd like to strip off and repaint, but I need to do a lot more research before actually attempting it. Now to my question. When sanding off the old finish what do I do about the binding? Do I remove the finish from the bindings or leave it alone? If I don't sand it off how will it look when I spray the new lacquer over the body of the guitar? Any help would really be appreciated.-----Bob
Brian
Hi BobK42 and welcome to the forum Your probably going to find it easiest to strip the finish completely off and tape over the binding while your refinishing the color, then remove the masking tape and clear over your whole body
