jer7440
I just thought I would throw up a picture of some templates I made for a fellow memeber...MZI. They are cnc'd out of .220 thick acrylic.

Narcissism
that's cool! I miss doing that stuff with CNC mills. I miss CAD too lol. I like all the little details, like how you can use one for both sides of the guitar weather you want to have a pickguard or not. Cactus
I cut them on a CNC mill using the cad data that MzI supplied. Are the curves polylines or a bunch of straight lines? I made my templates in cad with polylines worked out fine, the NC-program was 16k+ lines.. thank god for CAD..
jer7440
The curves on these templates were polylines. I had to turn my cut tolerance to .0001 to eliminate the faceted edge you can get cutting splines and what not. I didn't notice how many lines the program was....but it was pretty big. MzI
They look awesome. I cant wait to get back into building. All of the drawings I do, if I am using someone else design, I take a picture import into Autocad and then throw my twists into it so the design is how I want it. In particular for these templates, I took the Jackson Soloist as a base, set it up for 24 3/4 Gibson Scale, set neck, my electronics layout, and a semi AANJ.
