DC Ross Posted December 23, 2008 Report Share Posted December 23, 2008 Here's a strange question: why are the SD '59's legs so long? 1.076" from top to bottom seems a bit much compared to the 0.776" of the Jazz... psw Posted December 23, 2008 Report Share Posted December 23, 2008 The original gibson pickups do have very long legs and springs...I guess SD was going for tradition...I'm not entirely sure why the originals were designed that way, but perhaps it was to have a one size fits all in the age of big jazz hollow bodies and high neck and pickup rings.
