Jpm Dwg In Members Area

Hello,

I'm new here but, I like what this site is all about. I tried to play with some of the autocad templates in the members area. I want the john petrucci body but i wanted it 3d. I tryed to take the jem body and get rid of the handle but i couldn't do it. I tried moving it into inventor and solid edge but couldn't figure out how to get the surfacing right on the back of the guitar.

If some one could help me try to get this fixed and is a member. That would be awesome.

The John Petrucci body is just an RG body, same as the JEM. I'm sure there's a model of an RG floating around somewhere.

Thanks, there are models in 2d in the members area but no 3d.

Maybe I'm just not catching why you need a 3D model. The body shape is there, the body is just 1-3/4" thick all the way around. It should be pretty easy to make a 3D version, seeing as you've already expressed your capabilities in AutoCAD, Inventor, and the like. Are you trying to fabricate a body on a CNC machine?

Yes I am fabricating for a cnc but i can't get the contour surfacing. I don't know how to do the surfacing.

What surfaces does the RG have that aren't flat? Is it just the tummy cut and the arm relief?

I fixed it in solid edge.
