Bmth Builder
Hey is the fretwire from allparts any good? Does any one know how many 2 foot lengths you get in a bulk pack? 1lb of 2 foot lengths = how much? lol http://www.allparts.com/store/frets-lt-0482-B00,Product.asp - Cheers Neil (P.S after some crude calulations I got 1lb of fret wire to be about 18 2 foot lengths, does that sound about right?) I dunno really, I never counted. and yes the fretwire itself is fine although I tend to use dunlop where I can.
soapbarstrat
Never used it (that I know of), so can't say if it's good or bad. I did choose to stay away from it, after emailing Allparts and asking what country their fret-wire is made and never getting a response. If you do want to use Allparts fret-wire, see if Brian (owner of this forum), still sells it through his Universal Jems website.
Claptonfreak
I recently used allparts fretwire on an SG that I built. It's ok but its not great, i'll probably do a refret within the next few years and replace it with dunlop.
