I don't have a twelve-string of my own to measure, but my question is simple. Are the pairs on a twelve-string guitar parallel to eachother, or are they slightly farther apart at the bridge than the nut? What is the average space between them?

I've measured it for you on my Ovation 12 st

They are not parallel

It measures:

Nut: ~ 2.5 mm apart

Bridge: ~ 4 mm apart
