basey
I'm about to start a neck thru bass. What different types of material can I use to accent the laminations in the body? I looked at ormsby's PRS style guitar (fantastic). On his website he said he boiled maple veneer in dye. Does anyone have any other methods, or even a tutorial on the dyeing process. I'm afraid that I'd laminate pieces with veneer in between and find out it wasn't dyed all the way through when I start to shape it.
Brian
Is this something like the multiple color knife handle look I've seen thats really cool to look at when it's done?

9of7 X 3of2
Somewhere in the "solid body" chat area, there is a thread where someone asked the same question. If memory serves me, I believe the most popular answers were; ebony, or wood that was dyed or stained black. Sorry I cant be of any real help
