DaveK
Well, I have come to realize that I am most interested in the skill I am most lacking in That, of course, would be unique guitar finishes! Having said that..... I followed GEdwardJone's advice on picking up a book on doing Marble finishes What I stumbled upon was a book with TON of very cool finishes that would look stellar on guitar bodies!!! The potential problem is that they all ust oil based paints for a portion of the process I thought I read somewhere that you can't use oil based paints & clear Am I mistaken??? Brian
I don't see any reason why you couldn't I've used plenty of different mixed media paints in the past. The big question is which certain combinations will work and which won't, so ask away............

Dave K Never ever ever ever put an enamel clearcoat over a lacquer colored base..... Unless of course you like the look of a Gator skin finish blush
DaveK
if that's the case, is it safe to assume that you can not do a lacquer clearcoat over a enamel colored base either??? Dave K
