allen00
Hi Guys great board. I have a ash strat body that I'm painting. I have already sanded and painted it with a burst lacquer finish with just a couple of coats of clear so I could start blocking and clearing untill the grain was filled. I was wondering if anyone has used Mod Podge overtop of paint to fill up the grain and then clear over the Mod Podge? I know now that I should have filled the grain first, but this is the first ash body that I've painted. I can fill it with clear, but this would be alot faster. Thanks Ash burst
Brian
Better to test that on a 2x4 to see how it turns out first, I would worry about the Mod Podge hardening to much over the first coats of lacquer and causing a reaction to your finish. allen00
Thanks, I'll test it on somthing first. I've never used the Mod Podge and just picked up some to try. If all else fails I can just use some Feather Fill to give me a nice smooth surface for a solid color. Thanks
