Bluepick
I found a rose that I really want to do in my guitar body. I will be using mop for the petals, but they have a really wide black border that I would like to be a part of the inlay. Is it ok to have a wide border of fill? It would be 1/8 to 3/16 of an inch wide. Or is there a better way to have a border around the petals? Thank you. Bluepick
Batfink
A wide surround of 'fill' could look a bit scrappy, why not use corian - it's cheap and would be much easier to get a defined outline.
Bluepick
Thanks for the suggestion. Can it be cut by hand, or do you need a jigsaw to cut it? Bluepick
Quarter
Corian is very easy to work with, no need for special saws.

Musiclogic
Delrin is also good for this type of fill, as id pickguard material, all of which are easy to cut by hand, and shape by hand.
