Fowl2338
With locking tuners and a graphite nut, what would hold tuning stability better, a traditional 6 point/screw trem or a 2 point fulcrum trem? If it helps, I do not need to pull up. Trying to steer clear of a Floyd.
Tim37
after watching this vid i havent had any problems with keeping my mim strat in tune using the standard fender tuners and what ever the nut is that came on the guitar. one other thing that i found out helps is to load up on springs i use all 5. dalandser
I like Hipshot Contour and 2 Point Flat tremolos. They don't have a knife edge to mess with and have a hardened roller surface instead. With some Hipshot Grip Lock tuners and a Graph Tech black Tusq XL nut, you'll be good to go. The final ingredient: This guy knows what's up with tremolo setup. Thank You, Anthony Edited August 31, 2010 by dalandser
plinky
The Wilkinson VSVG is the best 6 screw Strat replacement bridge around. I have 3 of them and they are awesome. Will it stay in tune like a Floyd? Not totally, but when set right you can slam the bar to the pickguard and bring it back with all strings in or almost in tune. I'll use anywhere from 3-5 springs depending on the guitar.
