Supp dudes?!

Here's a custom 5 string bass I'm building for someone.

Will try to keep this one updated, I can only build on the weekends at the moment due to work commitments but here we go!

Specs:

Body: Bubinga

Top wood: Master grade Curly Maple

Neck: Neck-through - Maple\Wenge|Maple|Wenge/Maple

Fretboard: Birdseye maple

Hardware: Hipshot

34 inch Scale

Bubinga body wood rough cut to thickness.

One of the wenge laminates, I really like this stuff until it tries to stab or poison me..

Dude! You are building my kind of bass! I love the choices! The only bass I've ever built was a maple topped, bubinga body 5-string with a wenge laminate neck-thru! :D And let me tell you... that thing POPPED. You will love how this is going to sound (*side note to round out the picture, I ended up with MEC active J-style pickups in it with an SD pre-amp).

verhoevenc: Yeah I love the wood choice on this one, thats quite a coincidence though! Never used or heard MEC pickups, but the website has some interesting info. We havnt decided which ones to go for yet so that could be an interesting option!

Do you have any other suggestions that would suit this wood combo out of interest?
