kmensik
The player asked me for some adjustments. Enlarge the lower horn cutaway for absolute neck access, make the nick thinner, different pickups with different cable outlet.

By experience I can tell that it's very easy to leave too much meat on the shoulders of the neck profile - a rounded square instead of a rounded V. The illustration shows the difference between a tall oval and a circle. Note that the thickness at the centerline is the same which will keep the neck stiff. Yet there's a lot less stuff at the joint area where fingers start and palm ends.
kmensik
You are right. I tried different profiles with each neck I made (only 7 so far). This guy wanted an exact copy of his previous custom made neck. I made a rouded square profile for my tele and that V like profile for my Ibanez S copy. Each feels very different in hand, though the absolute thickness is approx. the same.
