Flat Back Guitar Neck

Hey everyone long time no see!

So anyway I was wondering, has anyone tried sanding the back of a strat neck flat? I want to try it on my next guitar kit since my thumb can slip around on a regular round neck.

I've done the opposite, sanding a flat neck rounder. As long as you don't go through to the  truss rod channel all is well.
