Why does everyone always think sandback has to be black? That has always mystified me, I use all kinds of colors for sandbacks. And that bookmatched top cost me +/- $25.00. It wasn't much to look at raw, which I have pics of. You made some nice guitars and you are right I do not see any black in the quilted area other than the edges which I assume is sprayed on at some point. I will remember not dye everything black.
