Worth it?

Hi Dan, don't get fooled by the looks, cause this is just a single locking tremolo.

But otherwise it looks good! Hopefully the baseplate is hard so you won't screw up the holes by overtighten the screws.

Good luck with it!

Well Dan, string changing is a lot easier, you don;t have to cut off the ball ends.

But because the string is not locked in place, it can move when pressing the tremolo down.

When the trem comes back in place you have to hope that the string will come back in the same place too.

Otherwise you will get a little pitch in your sound.

If I had that trem, I would buy 6 new schaller locking saddles and 6 locking clamps + screws. But then again, that will come up to another $50 :o

But what the hell... it's for a plywood guitar afterall :D

Hey Dan, the schaller locking saddles should fit the tremolo you bought. You will need the following:

- 6 saddles (2 of each height)

- 6 lock block

- 6 lock screws

When you place these on your tremolo, you will have an exact replica of a Schaller floyd rose.

It's the same principal like this Ibanez Edge tremolo system, and it won't get out of tune like a single locking trem.

But, than again, it will cost you about another 50 bucks :D
