Binding Question

Recommended Posts

A thin line of tape covering the binding during colour or graphic spraying.Masking tape is okay, but try to get the painters tape or the stuff they use for automotive graphics. The regular household can leave adhesive residue.

Using a hairdryer to warm the tape slightly as you remove it can soften up enough to reduce resiue and prevent the adhesive from taking up small spots of paint.

Some people just spray right over the binding and scrape it down afterwards.

If you're spraying something thin like dye it may run under the tape and require a scraping anyway. If you are going to use dye you might want to check out Litchfields thread on how he makes his own dyes.

Hope this helps.
