how do you guys feel about the gibson classic 57'

Havent heard them personally, but people tell me gibson classics work well for them

I think i'm gonna use these. But i'm gonna make my guitar like a vox teardrop kinda, and i want a pickguard in the same basic oval shape with the humbuckers and switch attached. Is there anyway i can do it like fender, the assembled pickguard, or do i just have to cut squares out of my pickguard to fit the humbuckers?? I think if i could do the assembled thing, i wouldn't route the guitar like fender, i would still route it like gibson, but with the pickguard. sorry if this sounds complicated or crazy...
