Andreas
TOM with throught the body strings or bigsby for tremolo? Its for a neckthrough and I dont want to remove much wood from the neck`s lower part. Also I would like it to be versatily and a bigsby tremolo sounds the best choice, but im open to advices so do advice. Basically I want to know how good a bigsby is. I dont expect it to do divebombs and crazy stuff.
Primal
Bigsbies are only good for vibrato. Personally, I would go with the TOM.
MzI
id say go to a shop by you and try a bigsby out, that way if you dont like it you wont end up wasting a lot of money and then hafta go back and change it to a tom MzI
Primal
True. Bigbies can be pretty expensive I hear. Although I may be wrong. Haven't shopped around for 'em.
Andreas
to be honest I was 99% i was gonna put a TOM but I saw a guitar with a bigsby and it hit me that you dont remove any wood to put a bigsby. If its only good for vibrato then it is not worth it. For that I have my hands.
spirit
Try and play a Bigsby, get a feel for it. Just one note: I don't think they were designed for EVH style dive bombing, so you won't get much of that!
Devon Headen
I vote TOM. Tuning will probably be more stable, I like the look of it better, and it is a lot cheaper.
