what kind of finish coat do i put on last?

after the dye is added and the guitar is all done, shouldn't i put on like some sort of sealer like polyurathane(sp??) on the body? Could you tell me what kind of sealer to use. thanks

You have a few choices, ie. polyurethane, laquer, etc. You would get more info and direction if you read thru the tutorials in the "Important Topics" section.

i'm using polyurethane on my guitar restoration project. in fact, i am going to put my second coat on today. i'll put pics up if i can figure out how to get them on here.

It would depend on the type of dye/sealer/etc...

Some dyes are not compatable with all clears, some clears are not compatable with all dyes. I would look at the label of your dye. If you post here the dye type someone will be able to tell you what works and doesnt.
