frankie
I was watching how the west was won, and i started crying (yes i'm a pansie) when he was doing his violion (can't spell wortha crap) solo on dazed and confused. that guy sure knows what he's doin. Anyway, do you guys know why he strung his guitar like he did?? You know over the tailpiece then back around. Did he have to like lower his tailpiece or anything to do that???? oh yeah rape me by nirvana is pretty cool too..
mynamesucks
zakk wylde does the same thing with his tailpiece, it is supposed to reduce breakage (thats what i heard) when you play behind the bridgey ou can hear the strings louder. i think that made sense. Hardtailed
That would basically lower the tension on the saddles, which can be both a good and a bad thing. That tension helps transfer the string energy into the body which helps tonewise and sustain wise (it's done on purpose), however the tension also turns your saddles in knife edges waiting to rip your guitar string in two. Personnaly, I prefer using graphtech saddles and string my guitar the way it was intended But hey, doesn't cost a thing to try it!
