willliam_q Posted June 22, 2004 Report Share Posted June 22, 2004 I know next to nothing about routers apart from how to use them. I have no idea about the type of bits that are available. I have heard on this forum a load of people talking about making templates for neck pockets and things. What is a template bit? I understand it could be a straight cut bit with a bearing on it. Are bits available to buy like this or do I somehow put a bearing onto a straight cut bit? I have started my first guitar project with very little wood working skills. I started on the neck and am really enjoying it. So far things are going well. I would just like to know about this as I don't like the idea of freehand routing!!!! not with my skills at least thanks PS. any searches on google for tempate bits just show up straight cut bits without bearings Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
