moojiefulagin Posted July 2, 2004 Report Share Posted July 2, 2004 Hi everyone im still confused about belden cable. my understanding was that you wire the outer braid to ground, and that if you dont do that the braid does nothing to prevent hum. also, on the stewmac site it recommended using the belden cable for the bridge ground wire. In such a connection it seems like the center wire would be used for ground, and the outer braid would have no purpose. So why use belden cable for ground?
