Les Paul wiring

Hi guys!

Right now I'm just in the middle of wiring my first homebuilt lp guitar and I need a little help. I know there's a wire on the Strat that is soldered to the bridge.

And on the Les Paul, is there also something that is connected to the bridge or to the stopbar? And if it is, how is it connected to the bridge posts?
