exactly what Mattia said.
When i change my strings, i give the whole guitar a good cleaning with a slightly damp rag, and use a wood cleaner on the body, back of neck, etc...
Other then that, if i dont play it for a couple days (get tied up with work/social life) i just dust it off before i play it.

is this going to happen every month? or is it a one time thing?
I have an old cigar box at my own personal shop, but alas, i cannot get to my shop until next month (roughley) and i would like to participate in a different one

Well, i am really allergic to wood dust, and since the jem got a big crack in it, that i didnt want to fix, i pulled the guts out of it and the neck and had a camp fire it produced a "warm" fire (lmao, haha)
So, instead of building a body, i would really, really like to find a cheap body i can either just re finish or possibly repair (if its not a big repair)
If anyone has something like this, i would be very interested,

I need a few more tabs so i can broaden my skills, I am mainly looking for van halen (eruption, panama, runnin with the devil are some fine examples) But I am also looking for a few Metallica as well (let me know what you got)
Does anyone have these tabs saved that wouldnt mind emailing me one (or more?)

I thought he was going for a solid black?
I said solid, only because i didnt like the sound of a chambered body, (well, the one i played)

I had to vote the mandolin, I think it was great to see something that is out of the "norm" for stringed insturments.

Nice Bass!!
The longer strap button kinda kills it for me, but, its easily looked past!
GOTM!!!

P.S. sorry, it was sarcasm, i should have made it a bit more, umm, obvious

Sounds nice! That finish sounds great, and I would kill to have a bare knuckle pickup in my explorer

So, maybe I missed it, but what hardware are you using? Are you staying true to the Tele hardware? or are you going 2 humbuckers? The control plate? or just knobs and switch (if your using one) on the body?
Keep the info coming, as well as the pics. I like seeing your projects

I love the drum kit
The recording, well, it blows, The sound quality is terible, its not mixed properly, and, yea, its not exactly the greatest, but, it gets them out there!

unless its fixable (the break) id get a new neck, not sure if squire/mm necks would fit tho could always decal a fender logo onto it

Wow! That looks really great for a first axe! Does the neck go into the pickup cavity at all? Set or bolt on neck?
How do you like purpleheart for a fingerboard?

what we could do, is put a thread up, like we always do for GOTM, but it has a bit more restrictions, like, for example:
1) Entries cannot be a different finish of what it was entered to begin with
2) Entries cannot have been modified (bridges, necks, hardware) then it was to begin with
Thats all i got for restrictions, but, I mean, that would make the most sence, you can upgrade pictures, incase you got a better camera, or whatever.
Maybe it can be based solely on nominations (nominate your new mods comes to mind) and the nominees can accept or decline if they so wish?
Food for thought anyways...

well, look at it this way, you still have the powertab software, and you can still get powertabs, you just have to request which ones you want, and then have some one email you the file (providing they have it)
I got a few pantera, ozzy, metallica, slayer, extreme, and a few other odds and ends if anyone is interested

I like them all, except the Iron Flame, it looks, different, but the stain job is top notch!

I hate all that screamo crap...

here is a shot of the ergonomics, this is what sets the warwicks apart from most other bass' ive done most of this by hand its still not where i want it but you get the idea.

it sounds like its binding in the nut to me, I had a very similar problem on my Hamer Explorer, when i did a string change, i widened the slots.

well, i would have drilled tinny holes in it all over it and then soaked in a WD40/gas mixture, and stood back!

I would have let it burn a little longer, you barely charred it
