geeze matt, you could have called me up to help with the destruction
and, while kinda on topic bout spud guns, me and my buddy made one out of water pipe, and hooked it up via propane with a metal spigget and various taps and stuff. Our water pipe was oly big enough though to fire GOLF BALLS!!
turn your propane on for 2 or 3 seconds, shut it off, turn the tap on the gun off, un hook your propane line, make sure everything is cocked, locked and ready to rock, and click that bbq lighter and hope you didnt use too much propane!!
We could fire a golf ball straight up (in a feild of course) and wait a good minute, minute and a half before it would hit ground, and when it hit that soft ground, it went in a good 2 inchs.
I eventually had to build a tri pod to help hold it because it was getting too powerfull to hang onto (plus, it got super hot!)

Sure, I will build you a neck, heres a little preziew for the neck I am making for mine
http://photocreations.ca/cd_lamp2/plywood.jpg
The circles are tone chambers for the neck, I find that it may alter the stability a little bit, but it improves your acoustic tones by a minumum of 99.9999999 percent, if not more!!
Curtis
Please note, this is my lame attempt as a joke, do not take it seriously, I have had too much sugar tonight and i am currently winding down. You should really attempt your own neck, or buy a quality new neck off Warmoth, or Stew Mac

Hi,
I love the song Macinhe Man by Judas Preist, but there are not any tabs (that i can find) on this song, and i really badly want to learn it, the drummer i play with has this song down pat, which is really cool, but i cant play the guitar part with him.
Any help? is there a Judas Preist tab book?

I am not bashing Sum 41's abilities by any means. But i mean, come on, go from say, Fat Lip to Some Say, its a total downfall into what everyone else is doing.
I was just upstairs watching TV with my mother, she flipped on MTV for a minute, and Crazy came on by simple plan, and she asked me if i liked this band, I said no, and went into a big speech about why i dont like them, and how they pretty much just bellow their guts out about how their life sucks, or wanting to slash their wrists with a spoon
And about 30 seconds into that stupid Crazy song, there was some chick sittin there with a note book that said life sucks and death and blah blah blah, and i just told my mother "see, i told ya so" (she disagreed with me)

i dont keep up with greenday, or sum 41 (they used to have decent songs, what happened?) or good charlotte, or any other F#$ing wannabe band out there, which is about 90 percent of the air waves anyways.
As i sit here typing this, i have my Hamer explorer sitting in my lap, and with my brother humming some stupid green day crap, i was able to figure out almost the whole song, i mean, its pretty easy once you figure out 3 chords

yes, afraid it does.
I had alot of respect for Wes, he was a great person to have around here, and it saddens me to see him leave. Hopefully this summer i can go visit him...

Can you not get a rubbermaid container at any home depot/lowes/hardware store?

nice to see your reading up, enjoy the forums
for the finish, i am wanting to do a similar finish on an old strat copy i am getting my hands on, and i think i might have figured out how to do it somewhat accuratley.
I am getting one peice of that really big graph paper (its got the 1 inch squares on it) its big enough to lay an explorer tyle guitar on it and still have lots of room around the edges and top/bottom
After that, i am taking a home made compas to draw the circles. I am figuring the spacing of the lines (thats filled in green for your guitar) should be .875 or slightly more. The spacing between them should be the same to look proper.
I was then going to cut them out and use double sided tape to stick them on (my colour scheme is going to be yellow and green, so i am laying the yellow down first, then spraything the green over top and clearing it to get it level)
Funny you should mention an offset bullseye, thats what i was going to do too...

regarding the plucked string theory bull sh!t
heres a pic of a plucked string (I hope Matt doesnt mind, i searched and found his old thread bout his new camera and found the pic i was lookin for)
As you can see its moving in a circular motion (well, it looks that way to me)
As for my action, well, i actually have a life and i dont bother mesuring the action on my guitar, but i will say its low enough to play moderatly fast and smoothly, but not low enough to buzz, and thats good for me

the splicing i did was i used shrinkable connectors, you strip the wire ends, and then put on the connector, crimp it (its a conductive steel on the inside) on both wires, then you heat it up and it shrinks so moisture stays out
Curtis
-
I can solder, but the actual wire wasnt long enough to reach from the pickup to the pot, it was cut shorter from when i used it in my guitar project...
I still couldnt get it to go, so i am just bitting the bullet and taking it to a guitar shop this week, i was going to take it friday but the roads were really icy
Thanks for all the help, and sorry for the confusion
