    that's awesome. you could do the taper with the safe-t planer like Benedetto and get alot of the neck work done with 2 simple jigs

    i'm designing my first guitar and getting ready to start making jigs and templates. what are some opinions on template materials. i'm thinking of using mdf because it would be easier for me to work with since i suck (just learning)

    it is hard to tell by the picture, the texture is subtle. it feels almost like fabric when you touch it.

    don't know if any of you have seen a teuffel tesla guitar, but it has this really cool textured paint finish. i was wondering if anyone knows how to do this type of finish.

    Manson sells alot of the stuff from the muse guitars as kits, however the midi strip is not listed as one of them. i sent Manson and email to see if he would sell it as a kit. i'll let you know if i hear back from him.

    i found the plans on the stew mac site. i have read that the idea behind leveling the fretboard is that the frets will require very little leveling

    i have a couple questions about the Erlewine Neck Jig. has anyone use the Erlewine Neck Jig here. i've read some places that you can get plans for one. anyone know where to get plans? also if you put an unfretted neck in the jig to level the fretboard, what would you use to plane the board level?
