  1. My solution to the problem now is to put the jack lead staight into the fx return on the back of the head, this way (for some reason I have yet to sus) is the right volume and tone that the ampshould be. The only down side is that you cant alter the tone, but if your usin pedals it doesn't matter too much. I dont understand what Marshall were playing at when they released this line of amps, but above is a good solution. Ben
  2. Checkout this thred I started in January! http://projectguitar.ibforums.com/index.ph...=ST&f=16&t=4353
  3. I use 12s on a Fender strat. I think SRV used 14s!
  4. I hear about him getting rid of Blackie ages ago, but he wasn't selling it, it was for acharity auction about two years ago. Maybe someone cashing in!

  7. I am infact Emperor Otter the 3rd. Don't laugh, just bow to your supreme master earthling.
  8. It's all part of my master plan to take over the universe, confuse and conquer, this will be the seventh planet I've conquered from my secret hideout at Blackgang Chine!
  9. What i really meant is one clock with one time for the site and while on the site you use that time. eg it might be 6oclock where you are but 2oclock on the site.
  10. Remeber that this forum is for the whole world so 6oclock in one place is gunna be another time somwhere else, i think the time thing could only work i pg had its own clock!
  11. I'm really into blues and phycadelic stuff, Hendrix, King Crimson, old school Santana not his new stuff, and the intense miles davis jazz stuff, Bitches Brew, Live Evil etc That sort off stuffs great for jammin and messin about with, but you need a good drummer, oh and i like to throw inabit of Metallica, Blind Melon, Led Zep and Eric Johnson to really spice things up. I play a Fender Strat that i kida put together myself, with gauge 12s for a really strong tone. A Marshal JCM 2000 stack, Boss Blues Driver 2, Vox or Jim Dunlop Wha and an Arbiter Fuzz Face. All this talk is making me wanna go and rock, so if you'll excuse me.
  12. Aghh that took ages to load properly. A bit of a sad way to make money out of Jimi, don't think he lived in Seatle at that age anyway cos I think he went to live with his aunt. His first guitar was an acoustic anyway can remenber the exact model. ahh who cares
  13. You can't really comment on clapton till you've seen him live can you. My opinion changed after seeing him live at Brans Hatch, possibly the same year! Did your view on him change?
  14. I meant he's the most famous not the best, I think that what the original question. I kinda agree with u though. I've always liked Clapton but not really apreciated him until I saw him live about two years ago with Albert Lee, Jools Holland and the bloke from Procol Harlum. His guitar tones are increadable and his licks very smooth and tasteful, but he did come across as a bit dull, his only stage-presents being his fame. Did anyone hear him and Paul McCartney sing 'While My Guitar Gently Weeps' at the 'Party At The Palace' gig, they both sung terrible. The best guitarist all boils down to personal taste I think, and the most famous where you come from in the world.
  15. Jimi Hendrix, Jimmy Page, Eric Clapton, Pete Townshend, Ritchie Blackmoore, Jon Greenwood, Robert Fripp Would of said Hendrix was the best know ever, and Clapton most know living guitarist!
  16. There's plenty of singers about and I know a few but it's whether there dedicated good enough and prepared to do that sort of stuff. I would prefer someone the same sort of age really (sounds like a lonely hearts thing) not overly botherd if there male or female as long as there good enough.
  17. Ok here's a long shot as there seems to be afew Isle Of Wighters about. I know plenty of people who sing on the island but I'm looking for someone new to do an acoustic sort of a thing, I've got loads of regular gigs offered to me from several venues to do acoustic stuff. I want to do originals eventually but to start off with maybe doin covers by bands like, Blind Melon, Led Zeppelin (Rain Song etc) and maybe some more obscure stuff like Nick Drake and King Crimson. So if your a singer and if youre able avaliable and prepared to practice in the West Wight get hold of me. Ben
  18. Yeah you know being a rock star and all that.
