  1. Hi. I REALLY REALLY REALLY want an ibanez zero resistance trem in one of my own custum axes. I mean, I REALLY want one sooooooo bad, but i dont really know anything about how i would go about putting one in. a few questions- Does it use the old trem posts, if not then what does it use? Does it have the same trem cavity as an edge, and if not, how differnt is the cavity? Is there anything else important to know about this bridge before i go tackle the job of putting this kick-a$$ trem on my one of my axes....? As you can tell from above, i REALLY want an axe with one of these trems, and i would rather have it on one of my homade swirled JEMs than on some crappy s-series that i bought from guitar center so any help/info would be appreciated.
  2. ill try to get pix up pretty soon, as soon as i get access to a camera. Also, maiden, i didnt use any protection, since i sprayed outside and it was a pretty windy day, so no fumes came my way. But would a charcoal resperator work for the future?
  3. Hi. I was wondering if anyone new how to manage to get this type of finish http://www.ibanezrules.com/images/gallery/rggold2.jpg I think it would be nuts to do and id love to put it on one of my rgs...
  4. i just got done spraying my new PMC with a 2 part automotive clear with a preval sprayer and it turned out pretty sweet. It was better spending the 10$ on the sprayer than $100 on a gun that is not really gonna get much use.
  5. Its a DWG file. Dude, how the heck do you build a cnc machine. If i could build one, dude, id be building so many custom guitars
  6. Hi. I have been building my own axes over the summer by hand, and i want to have my guitars made with a CNC machine. My brother and i have come up with some killer desings on CAD KEY19 and really want to make em, but we just dont have the skill, or the time. Are there any companies out there that i can send the file and the wood to that will mill my guitar and neck?
  7. I think im gonna put pink PAF pros and a maple neck with a brown vine or somthing like that. Not sure yet... I still gotta figure out how to make the clearcoat better and i have to wait for the laquer to dry...
  8. Here it is. 2 piece maple camo swirled jem. I built her from scratch, and even though the swirl job isnt that great, im pretty happy for a first time. Copy and paste links to see pics... http://www.angelfire.com/rock3/ozzy4ever/guitars/camo1.JPG http://www.angelfire.com/rock3/ozzy4ever/guitars/camo2.JPG http://www.angelfire.com/rock3/ozzy4ever/guitars/camo3.JPG I just wish that i could have made the clear coat flat...
  9. Thanx. I didnt put a middle pickup or a pickguard on it cuz i felt it didnt need it. The swirl was my very first one, and yes, i did use the tutorial off the site. The green paint didnt work too well, but i was happy for a first time. Ill get pix of the LED pyramid inlays when i get the money to do em. Ill try to get pix of my other swirls up soon(:

  12. Here she is. 3 piece poplar swirled w testors spray enamel and cleared w brush on poly. I took the neck and trem off an rg7620. I plan on putting purple light up pyramids on the neck sooner or later. lemme know what you think.
  13. I am about to do a pyramid inlay on an old rg 550 neck and dont exactly know how to remove the inlays. I was planning on carving them out with a dremel tool, but what should i do on the 12th and 24th frets? Will the pyrwmid cover up the holes that i am going to cut out? Or should i remove them a differnt way? I am stuck on what to do.p
  14. OK. Ive built 4 jems so far from my own homemade templates and they all really suck. Would antbody be willing to sell me templates printed out from a CAD file?? It would be a great help since i have been destroying body blanks left and right trying to make this guitar...
  15. Does anyone know where i can get a flame guitar body like steve vai's old one? I used to have one, and i sold it, and now, i NEED another one.
  16. Hi there. I know a lot of people have been asking a lot of questions about swirling, but i cannot get it to turn out. I have only been testing on scrap wood and havent done it to the guitar yet (thank god). I am using Rust-Olem Oil-based paints, and am having trouble getting the colors to swirl together. So: 1: Will the oil paints do the job? If not, does anybody know a site where i can buy the HUMBROL paint, since i cant find it anywhere? 2: Does anybody have any suggustions for swilrling the paint together/dipping the guitar? 3: For a GMC, should i mix the black on green asnd put it on the white body, or could i paint the body black and just put the green paint on it?
