2. so in that case, what did you go with??
3. wats CNC?? and is that sort of material expensive and hard to find??

10. how long should a truss rod be, in general? also, why is the middle of the truss rod channel routed deeper than the ends?
11. about the acrylic mirror (or any mirror guitar, for that matter), how do you fold it for the arm rest area??
12. hey, eddie, do you have a printable template (to scale) of the JS copy you made?? if you do, can u pls send it to me at cukaracha20@yahoo.com?? thx..

16. quick question.. do mirror guitars literally have mirrors or is it some kind of very reflective material?
17.
Really, really not the case. Sanding everything level with 2 to 4 grits of sandpaper (starting with 1200 if at all possible, moving up to 1500 or 2000) already takes the better part of an hour or two, and to do a really good polishing job, you're going to need that amount of time again. At the very least.
sanding....? sanding is done during the final polishing...? i think you're mistaken. i just meant the polishing compound, not from sanding the clear..
18. polishing only takes five minutes per compound using hand??!! wow.. i always thought it'd take a lot longer.... well, thx a lot 4 your answers, johnson!! they really helped me understand polishing a lot! i'll be sure to acknowledge you if i ever do a guitar project..
19. is there any substitute for a steam iron or any other way to remove the fretboard?
20. haha.. i wonder how many years mine will take.. i don't have ANY proper tools and it really expensive to buy them where i live.. also, any suggestions on how i can get rid of the arm rest area before arching the top? (the arm rest area is curved.. how am i supposed to shape a piece of wood to make it fit..??) Note: pls excuse my lack of knowledge for.. everything.. i'm very inexperienced in woodworking..
21. - Do you want it to be variably opaque or is on/off OK? on/off is fine - Is mostly opaque OK, or does it need to be totally solid? mostly opaque is also fine - Did you want a color other than black? variety in colour is prefered, but black is ok.. - Does it need to be electronic (i.e. truly a switch/battery situation?) isn't that the only way...? - What is your price range? can't tell cuz my currency is different.. (mines in RM- ringgit malaysia) - How good are you at making reasonably complicated mechanical assemblies? never really tried, but theres always a first time, right..?
22. i was wondering if it's posible to make a pickguard turn from opaque to clear with a flick of a switch.... any ideas? i thought of liquid crystal (i saw it in pimp my ride.. , but i have no idea how that stuff works (i only know that when theres current flowing through it, it turns clear).. any suggestions?
23. i plan to mod an Ibanez RG Series shaped body to make it have an arched top. in your opinion (since you're far more experienced than i am..), how do you think i should arch it? heres an example of the body: which type of arch should i do?:
24. so how long did u polish to be consider it sufficient? are there any 'signs' that shows you're through polishing?
25. would it be advisable arch the body using a wood file and filing it in 'stages' (gradually increasing the angle as you move closer to the edge) and finally sanding it? example: Note: i'm not sure if anyone will be able to understand that pic, but thats the best i can do using microsoft paint..
