  1. You are doung a great job! Do you use the arbor fret press, with a compact drillpress (one machine) or a combined drill press ( the drill locked in the press holder ) ? I was going to buy one (arbor press) since i have the combined drill press I was wondering if it work good and precise anyway? regards Rob
  2. Nice work, the mushroom is cool ! Did you set a mohogany veneer in the neck, under the fingerboard?
  3. I have some nice healthy looking Walnut Tanganyika, I was wondering if anyone ever had experience with this wood on guitars. It has a nice orange color, and it's quite a light weight wood. I was thinking about using it for a guitar body with a bookmatched rosewood top, and maybe even in laminated neck with maple or mohogany. Any suggestions before I start something stupid ?!
  4. The template look good ! I am a EXTREME Bettencourt fan , andI love that guitar, I have some interesting pics of it and of other models N2 N4 and the doubleneck, let me know know if you want them, may help out.
  5. Nice clean work, you are doing a great job ! Keep us updated !
  6. BLS thanks for the link ! GuitarMaestro : here in Italy hardware and tools cost about twice as much, unfortunatly, that makes me want to buy from US always, even if I usually get taxed 30% of the value , from customs office. A Seymour Duncan pup here is about.....150 E = 190 $ US at least and even more ! A Floyd rose was about 290 E = 360 $ US averagely These products even if taxed 30 % and shipping fee, are always more convenient rather then ordering in the local music store. I need to move to US ! I could I have dual citizenship, maybe one day ! Thanks for replying
  7. Out of stock ! hahahaha better luck next time
  8. Nice link thanks , I am going to email him regards
  9. Hi, Anybody have a link to a online seller for a Ibanez Edge Pro 7 - EP7 floyd rose, or a LO PRO 7 stile . I seem to be having a hard time finding one. Thanks
  10. Beautiful work ! I always loved that model of Ibanez !
  11. Well, I am actually planning in making only the solid body completely in Zebrawood, and bolt on with a laminated neck like in my Last Project. It's reacting very well that wood, thanks for the suggenstions everyone
  12. That is a handsome guitar ! Still waiting to see led under pickups picture Keep the the good work going
  13. Thanks guys, I think I'll just use Maple with Mohogany laminated for the neck, I'll post pisc of the Zebrano soon
  14. What do you think of a lamineted ZEBRAWOOD / MAPLE or ZEBRAWOOD / MOHOGANY neck for a 7 string, I never saw one but was planning to make it, anybody ever experience that one one of your creations?
  15. Thanks guys skibum5545 : good idea , I may do that on the 5 string version I am plannig to build in future, once I learn to make neckthroughs......the scoop area is mainly for aesthetics purpose, but it lets me fit well my thumb on the J pups since the action of the strings to the body is really low MKGBass : really don't know what kind of wood that is, but sounds great , at least to my ears ( I am mainly a gtr player, just started playing bass recently ). The tone is very deep and warm.
  16. Hello again, I finally posted on My Webpage the pictures of my last project before the summer.... Simple bass in mohogany, with optic fiber markers... Tell what you think.... Oh by the way, today I orderd my new wood , Zebrawood lumber , can't wait to get back to work!
  17. Well I am using a neck made of exotic wood SEE PIC (don't really know the name, I think is Bangakiray....or something like it....the guy ho sold it to me told the name, but really not too sure), laminated with mohogany thin strips. I made a 4 string bass neck with the same wood, and it's quite sturdy, I had to slighly tighten the rod 2 time in 4 months, but no big bowing anyhow. I am planning a ultra thin neck, like my Ibanez S ( Frank Gambale model ), probably the thinnest neck I ever played with, that will be fun to make ! Rob
  18. Hey there ! I am planning in building a 7 string guitar soon. I am doing the project of the neck at the moment, and was wondering if it's necessary to insert next to the truss rod , 2 carbon bars, I see them in many projects here. Will that make it harder eventually in the neck setting with the truss rod? Regards
  19. The finish is Shellac : about 6 coats I like them as natural as possible, I will post pics of the last project I finished , a bass for myself. The body is finished in shellac, and the neck oil finish . Works great fo me
  20. Thanks for the nice commets AlexVDL : I saw a wile ago a handmade guitar with that 6 screw setup, since then I can't look at only 4 screws on the neck/body joint, somenthing would be missing for me ! hehehe hyunsu : the setup is like a LP , the bridge is slightly recessed in the body, the neck is a bit angled GuitarMaestro : I know I have the same feeling when I look at them Sneft : I traced the template from the customers other Ibanez RG body , that is where I got all the specs , I slightly changed a few things in the shape, but really hard to notice. You should probably find someone that has a RG and ask him if you can borrow it, that is what I would do. Sorry for the poor info.....
  21. Thanks :-) ! Honestly I don't ! But my friend wanted to save money on the hardware ! They are very low in signal, but the sound of that mohogany guitar is very bluesy and warm in clean tone, he is happy with it, so that is what is important. I would never set them up on one of my babies ! hehehe I like DiMArzio, and Seymour Duncan on guitars, but I am interested in trying the EMG active (Zack Wylde)
  22. That looks like awesome work you did, congrat ! :-)
  23. Hello to all, it's been a wile .........Here are some pics of one of my latest projects for a friend. Hope you enjoy, I have when I made it :-)
