ive never heard this kenny wayne shepard dude....but if u say hes the next srv then he must the next blues messiah. To me no1 comes close to SRV, that illusive tone that guitar merchants spend house and home over trying to attain is what sets srv apart from any other guitarist to pick up a six string. yeh i myself have an ibanez rg 1570, its a wizard neck so u dudes can imagine how thin and fast it is. however my brother is a poof and hates listenin to any type of awsum guitar virtuosity, let alone try to play it, so super thin necks arent really the premise of a guitar for him. Its funny u shood mention esp/ltd's i was actually plugging them to him tonite, telling him they r good metal axes....but now uve told me they suk anus i dunno well ive got a good 2 weeks before i go to the shop (in sydney australia i mite add) and christen sum 6 stringed newb guitar so keep the opinions flowing,

Hey dudes i recently got my brother into playing guitar, hes picking up pretty fast like power chords and stuff (under my tutorage lol) and picking off some smashing pumpkins and a perfect circle tunes (he hasnt been enlightened yet to the world of vai and satch) and the guitar he is using atm is a piece of turd. Also are the Les Paul necks cumbersome and fat like ive been told? can u get them thinner, because hes a bit of a girl and complains about fat necks hurting his thumb (poofta) Peace in the Middle East

jamiroquai is more jazz fusion funk than pop, every1 just luvs them so they r a mainstream band, bt how can u compare their basslines to a repetitive metal one

i wood play jamiroquai coz they groove hard, and its all about getting down. For 1 Jamiroquai is pop based so it will appeal to the masses however jamiroquai does have alot of musical theory in terms of its jazz/funk based roots so ull need to be tight with your rhythm and have a sweet vocal section, secondly chicks will dig it, i mean who doesnt luv a sweet baseline that just grooves, u can chill out to it. Secondly metal at talent quests is so cliche' not many ppl can funk it up, and if it was me i wood funk it jaykay style and add alan holdsworth fusion runs to get u the browney points with both the chicks and also these stupid metal shredders who's repotoire only extends beyond kirk hammet

no i saw jimi on TV, he was really shizenhousen live, like utterly bad, so Curtis if u want to learn anything from Jimi Hendrix aside from his grooves its don't smoke a cone before you get onto the stage ........smoke it after with the groupies

All along the watchtower isnt that easy, i watched hendrix perform it at some hippie gig and it was a trainwreck (despite the fact he was blown out of his minds on some whacked up anphetamine). I can safely say from experience that attempting goin from something semi-challenging ala 'Seek and Destroy' to a piece by a man who revolutionized rock guitar ala Hendrix in less than a month, with practically no perform experience will be a disaster in itself. I can guarantee wen they call your name out to go and rock out, ull be as nervous as anything, ull be obsessing over wat note goes where and your timing will wreak, so yes play something easy and nail the little b a s t a r d, because i can safely say the majority of of the listening public don't give a stuff about hendrix's guitar genius enough to appreciate very simple yet effective power chords played in a steady rhythm. Hey dudes, I was at guitar lessons on Saturday, and my guitar was goin over Riviera Paradise with me in his Ibanez Custom RG, and he lifted up his tone knob, and boom Stevie Ray Vaughan in the house!!!! I asked him wat it was and he preceeded with some guitar jargon, but the jist of it was he could make his Ibanez sound like a Strat with the flick of a switch, despite the crappy amp at my tutors. Anyways my only query is.....What is it and where can i get one for my baby (i thought at first it was the satch whistle but this is 10000000000 times better) peace

i luv strats in fact i played alot better on a strat than my rg, alot faster that is mayb i shood have bought a nice strat, mayb a 2nd hand US made one

wenever im playin on the frets like from 1 - 14 or sumthin i can do the lightest touch and the note will wil crystal clear, wenever im hammerin on and pullin off from say 15-24 and its pretty difficult to distinguish the note thats wat i mean about sensitivty

yeh hey, im i was just wondering about price, coz i cood take sumwhere near i live and it woodnt be a problem yeh the dude i asked about it in sydney sed that ibanez necks coodnt take being scalloped, but i was thinkin isnt it just puttin a few indentations on the fingerboard? so from experience is it more sensitive coz i dont wanna do nethin that would detract from my guitar that doesnt really offer much thanks dude

Hey dudes im a player with a really light touch, and it is expressed well wen im playing in the low to mid register from about 1st fret to 12th Neways i find with my Rg 1570 that my lite touch cant even be heard wen playin in the high register from about 15-24 and i heard that scalloping your neck made it alot more sensitive, but wen i ask my local guitar dealer about scalloping my ibanez prestige neck he sed an ibanez neck coodnt take it? and that really only strats and telecaster cood is he rite or can it be done stil?? thanks dudes
