    thanks for your help , i have another question. I want to make a double cut away, carved top les paul type guitar with a flamed maple top, but i dont want to spend alot on a 1" thick maple top, could i carve the bodys wood and put a veneer on it? or will the venner not bend enough? thanks Lee

    Would i lose that les paul sustain using a bolt on neck? would i be better trying to make it a set neck? thanks

    Now with my first project out of the way, its time for a new one, im going to make...................a strat. but its not going to be your average strat: its going to have: Standard strat body but with no contours, Black binding Flame orange/red/yellow maple top, Two humbuckers tune o matic through body bridge maple neck white or black binding (to be decided, what do you think?) now i dont know what wood do use for the body, and also whever to have a through neck body, whats the advandages and disadvantages of through necks? any commednts would be help ful please!

    Does any one have any idea of what Gibson charges for a custom made guitar? obviously it depends on what i want, but roughly what do they charge. i want a Double cut away les paul.

    I can honestly say that one of the ugliest guitars ive ever laid my eyes upon, along with the wangcaster of course, But each to their own i suppose

    i got some flame maple veneer, but there is lines running across the grain that look like they have been scratched in, how do i get rid of these lines, is it comon? thanks

    how do you put a veneer on the body if the corners are rounded?
